The Stage is Set for the 2024 Summer Senior Provincial Championships

The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club is gearing up to compete in the 2024 Summer Senior Provincial Championships in Man/SK from July 4 to 7, 2024, to be held at the Lawson Aquatic Centre, This swim meet marks the second event of the 2023–2024 Provincial Series Championships. The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club will journey to Regina, SK, to participate in this thrilling competition, organized by the Regina Optimist Dolphins Swim Club in collaboration with Swim Saskatchewan and Swim Manitoba.

Goldfins' Head Coach, Steven Hitchings, expressed his thoughts on the team's upcoming participation in the Senior Provincial Championships. He mentioned that with 62 swimmers attending ManSask in Regina, the Goldfins would once again be the largest club at the event. Hitchings is eager to return to Regina for the competition, viewing it as a valuable test for the team and an opportunity for them to bond.

“The coaching staff is excited to witness the swimmers' hard work translate into results during the event and is anticipating positive outcomes and cheerful moments throughout the four days in Regina.”

 

The swim meet’s schedule is as follows:

Thursday, July 4, 2024: Swimmer Arrival: 3:00 PM & Competition: 4:40 PM

Events: 200 IM (Preliminary Heats), 1500 Freestyle (Timed Final)

 

Friday, July 5, 2024: Swimmer Arrival: 7:00 AM & Preliminary Heats: 8:40 AM

Events: 100 Fly, 200 Breaststroke, 50 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke & 400 Freestyle

 

Friday, July 5, 2024: Swimmer Arrival: 3:40 PM & Finals: 5:10 PM

Events: 100 Fly, 200 Breaststroke, 50 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke, 400 Freestyle & 4 X 100M Freestyle Relays

 

Saturday, July 6, 2024: Warm-Up: 8:00 AM & Preliminary Heats: 9:00 AM

Events: 200 Fly, 100 Freestyle, 200 Backstroke, 50 Breaststroke, 800 Freestyle (Timed Finals)

 

Saturday, July 6, 2024: Warm-Up: 4:00 PM & Finals: 5:00 PM

Events: 200 Fly, 100 Freestyle, 200 Backstroke, 50 Breaststroke, 200 IM, 4 X 100M Medley Relays

 

Sunday, July 7, 2024: Warm-Up: 8:00 AM & Preliminary Heats: 9:00 AM

Events: 100 Breaststroke, 50 Fly, 200 Freestyle, 50 Backstroke, 400 IM

 

Sunday, July 7, 2024: Warm-Up: 4:00 PM & Finals: 5:00 PM

Events: 50 Fly, 200 Freestyle, 50 Backstroke, 100 Breaststroke, 400 IM, 4 X 100M Provincial Relays
