BLUE WINS THE 2024 BLUE VS GOLD BANNER!

The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club organized the 5th Annual Blue VS Gold dual swim meet on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Shaw Centre in Saskatoon, SK. This event, hosted by the Goldfins, included an internal competition where swimmers were split into two teams: Blue VS Gold. The Goldfins' Blue Team reclaimed their title by winning the 2024 Blue VS Gold banner with 2903 points, surpassing the Gold Team's score of 2663 points.

Celebrating the 5th anniversary in style, the swim meet pulled out all the stops with a thrilling competition sponsored by Uptown Orthodontics: the heart-pounding 50M Freestyle ‘Skins-Tastic” eliminator! Picture this: 10 fierce female and 10 male swimmers dive in for round one. The top 6 from each gender then battle it out, leading to a nail-biting finale where Sami Benning, Isabel Magus, Keiran Dyck, and Obi Nguyen raced like lightning to victory. In the end, Isabel Magus and Obi Nguyen splashed their way to glory!

The Goldfins Swim Club will prepare for summer championship season: Man/SK Senior Provincial Championships – July 4 – 7, 2024 – Regina, SK, Saskatchewan Summer Games – July 22 – 24, 2024 – Lloydminster, SK, Canadian Swimming Championships – July 24 – 30, 2024 – Toronto, ON.
