As excitement builds for the 48th Chinook Invitational, the Saskatoon Goldfins are gearing up with enthusiasm and determination. Taking place at the Brookfield Residential YMCA in Seton, Calgary, from April 25 to 27, 2025, this event promises to be a remarkable showcase of talent and sportsmanship. Hosted by the Calgary Patriot, the swim meet will feature over 400 swimmers from various clubs, including 29 spirited competitors representing the Goldfins.
A Promising Lineup for the Goldfins
The Saskatoon Goldfins will showcase their prowess with 29 swimmers competing in 172 individual events and 9 relay events. The team's preparation and dedication are evident, and these young athletes are eager to make their mark. The Goldfins will be guided by their experienced coaches, Jennifer Robinson and Ted Murphy, who are instrumental in shaping these swimmers' competitive edge.

Event Highlights
The Chinook Invitational will feature a variety of events, including the exciting and unique 50M Freestyle Eliminator. This race will challenge swimmers in a series of eliminations over the course of the weekend, culminating in a thrilling final. The competition includes both individual and relay events, providing ample opportunity for swimmers to shine.
The 50M Freestyle Eliminator
This distinctive event will take place over three days, beginning with preliminary heats on Friday. The top 8 swimmers will advance to the next round, where 2 swimmers will be eliminated. On Saturday, the top 6 will compete, with another 2 swimmers being eliminated. Finally, on Sunday, the top 4 swimmers from each age group will race for the top prizes. This event promises to keep spectators on the edge of their seats.
