Shining Stars in the Pool: Goldfins Celebrate January's Swimmers of the Month

February 14, 2026

The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club is proud to announce the Swimmers of the Month program for 2026, celebrating athletes who show exceptional commitment, enthusiasm, and resilience. Each month, swimmers who embody these traits will be recognized. Excellence in swimming is not just about speed or wins but also perseverance, positivity, and team inspiration.

Swimmers of the Month are chosen for their pool performance, sportsmanship, leadership, and team spirit. They serve as role models, demonstrating that success in swimming combines skill, mindset, and teamwork.

This program highlights diverse talents and strengths, fostering a supportive community. It reflects the club's dedication to nurturing each swimmer's potential, valuing their journey as much as their achievements.

January 2026

Mariah Weber (G3P) - Over the past month, Mariah has shown excellent commitment and consistency in her training, setting a strong example through her daily work ethic. With an attendance rate above 93%, she has been dependable at practice and fully invested in the training environment.

One of the significant aspects of Mariah’s development has been how well she responds to coaching feedback. She listens carefully, asks questions when needed, and makes a clear effort to apply corrections in the water. This willingness to learn and adjust has led to noticeable improvements over time.

Mariah has also taken meaningful steps in holding herself accountable for her work and effort. She approaches practices with focus and purpose, and her consistency has become a positive example within the group. Her dedication and steady progress make her a very deserving Swimmer of the Month. Congratulation Mariah !

Ty Fehr (W3) -  Ty is a dedicated swimmer. He shows up every day with a smile on his face and is ready to give it his best. This past month Ty has improved tremendously and it is entirely due to his attitude in the water and constant practice in the pool that he has made these great jumps and I am sure he is only getting started!
