Saturday Night Showdown Time Trial: A Triumph for Saskatoon Goldfins

June 24, 2025

In an exhilarating display of talent and determination, the Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club, in partnership with the Saskatoon Lasers, hosted the Saturday Night Showdown Time Trial on June 14, 2025. This fast-paced meet pushed swimmers to their limits as they aimed to achieve personal bests and secure qualifying times for the upcoming summer championship meets.

Record-Breaking Performance by Naomi Liu

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly Naomi Liu's breathtaking performance in the 200M Breaststroke. Naomi set a new record with a time of 2:50.52, breaking the long-standing Saskatchewan Girls 11–12 200M Breaststroke Long Course Record previously held by Bronwyn Beatty since 1977.
