Saskatoon Goldfins Swimmers of the Month - April 2026

The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club is proud to announce the Swimmers of the Month program for 2026, celebrating athletes who show exceptional commitment, enthusiasm, and resilience. Each month, swimmers who embody these traits will be recognized. Excellence in swimming is not just about speed or wins but also perseverance, positivity, and team inspiration.
Swimmers of the Month are chosen for their pool performance, sportsmanship, leadership, and team spirit. They serve as role models, demonstrating that success in swimming combines skill, mindset, and teamwork.
This program highlights diverse talents and strengths, fostering a supportive community. It reflects the club's dedication to nurturing each swimmer's potential, valuing their journey as much as their achievements.
April 2026

Cohen Dickson (W3) - Cohen's determination to improve himself and develop his skills in the pool has been a big reason why he has shown so much improvement recently in his races. Cohen will work on any weaknesses he may have in the pool until they become a strength! He is constantly asking for feedback and eager to find out what he needs to do to succeed after every practice. He doesn't back down from a challenge and is a great example that consistent hard work pays off!

Wallis Fisher-Katz (G1) - Wallis Fisher Katz is our Swimmer of the Month for April, and she has earned it in every way. Wallis shows up each day ready to get to work and sets the tone for the group with her consistency and attitude.
From the moment she arrives, Wallis is already contributing — she’s quick to offer help with pool setup, then gives full effort in dryland to prepare her body for the session ahead. When practice starts, she’s dialed in immediately, following instructions with precision and training with purpose. Her eagerness to learn and improve is obvious every single day.
That commitment is paying off. Wallis achieved her first AA time in the 50 Backstroke at Bridge City, and since then she has continued to drop time and move closer to qualifying in more events. With her effort, focus, and tenacity, she is well on track to reach her goals and re‑qualify for ManSask as a 12‑year‑old.
Congratulations, Wallis — keep it going!
