Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club: Excitement Builds for the Little Caesars Fun Meet

March 4, 2026

The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club is eagerly gearing up for the second Little Caesars Fun Meet, aptly titled "Friday Night at the Races," as part of the 2026 swim season. Scheduled for March 6, 2026, this event is set to be an exhilarating evening, especially for the club’s youngest swimmers.

A Celebration of Skill and Dedication

This unique competition is designed to blend friendly rivalry with pure enjoyment as Junior Goldfins swimmers from various levels—Bronze, Silver, Gold, Goldfins W3, B1, B2, and SwimFIT—showcase their skills. The meet is not merely a test of their abilities; it is a celebration of their dedication and progress in the sport. By focusing on personal bests, the event emphasizes personal growth over competition, acknowledging the diverse experiences and abilities within the club.

Exciting Prizes and Generous Sponsorship

In addition to the thrill of competition, participants can look forward to bell heat prizes and door prize packs, ensuring everyone has the chance to take home more than just memories. The club expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Lana Niro, whose continued sponsorship of the Junior Goldfins Program makes these events possible. Adding to the excitement, over 200 swimmers, coaches, and volunteers will enjoy a delicious pizza meal courtesy of Lana Niro, adding a touch of "pizzazz" to the evening.

Preparation Tips for Swimmers

Swimmers are advised to bring the following essentials: a tight-fitting bathing suit, goggles, a Goldfins cap, two towels, warm clothes to wear during the meet (which may get wet), and dry clothes to wear home. Optional: take-away pizza containers for post-event snacks.

Guidelines for Parents and Spectators

Parents and spectators are kindly requested to use designated seating in the mezzanine bleachers, as on-deck seating is not permitted. Meet information and results will be accessible via the Meet Mobile App and the Goldfins’ social media platforms: FacebookTwitter, and Instagram.

Temporary Suspension of Regular Training

Please note that regular Goldfins training sessions and swim lessons are suspended on the day of the meet. This includes Junior Goldfins (Friday lessons), Goldfins W3, Blue 1, Blue 2, and SwimFIT Groups. Furthermore, the donated pizza is reserved exclusively for swimmers and volunteers.

As we count down to the meet, we encourage everyone to rally behind our young athletes. Let's support them wholeheartedly as they strive for success and personal growth.
