Saskatoon Goldfins Gear Up for the Craven SPORT Services Racing Series
The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club is eagerly anticipating the upcoming start of the Craven SPORT Services Racing Series, set to debut with the first meet on the Swim Saskatchewan 2026 competition calendar. This event marks the beginning of a promising series of four competitive meets, facilitated through a continued partnership with Craven SPORT Services.
This season, Swim Saskatchewan is taking significant strides to bolster youth development in swimming by endorsing the Saskatchewan Racing Series. This initiative presents an invigorating platform for swimmers at various levels—from novices to those who have attained Junior Provincial Time standards—enabling them to test their mettle and advance their skills. The series is strategically segmented across the province, with the Northern division events, including the Craven SPORT Services Racing Series, hosted in Saskatoon, and Southern division events part of the broader Saskatchewan Racing Series. Post-event, results from both divisions will be amalgamated to determine rankings across four age categories: 8 & Under, 9-10, 11-12, and 13 & Over.
A distinctive feature of these meets is their inclusive format, which integrates both Masters and Age Group swimmers. This approach fosters a spirit of camaraderie and competition across generations, highlighting the diversity of experiences and abilities intrinsic to the sport.
The inaugural event of the Craven SPORT Services Racing Series is scheduled for Saturday, September 27, 2025. The itinerary includes the Goldfins swimmers' arrival at 7:30 AM, followed by warm-up sessions and officials’ briefings at 8:00 AM. The competition is set to commence at 9:05 AM.
