Saskatoon Goldfins: A Slice of Success at the Little Caesars 2026 Spring Fun Meet

SASKATOON, SK – On Friday, June 19, 2026, the Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club turned up the heat at the Shaw Centre, hosting the final Little Caesars Fun Meet of the 2026 swim season. Like a perfectly baked pizza, the night was a delightful blend of excitement, skill, and camaraderie, with 112 Junior Goldfins swimmers making waves and serving up a feast of personal bests.

In the spirit of our favorite pizza night, the young swimmers outperformed their previous bests, posting an impressive 253 personal records. *The Little Caesars Fun Meets/Friday Night at the Races are non-sanctioned swim meets.  Therefore, results are compared to swimmers' previous bests that are logged in the Goldfins Testing Databases.

 

 

With the support of our generous sponsor, Little Caesars Pizza, over 500 swimmers and volunteers were treated to a delicious post-competition feast, perfectly capping off a night of exceptional performances. Lana Niro’s contribution ensured the evening was as satisfying as a fresh-out-of-the-oven pizza.

The Goldfins’ Coaching Staff commended the swimmers for their dedication and growth in the Junior Goldfins – Learn to Race Program. The club extends heartfelt thanks to the Goldfins coaches, and swimmers who ensured the Fun Meets were a resounding success.

As the Junior Goldfins Program takes a well-deserved break for July and August, we look forward to another season of growth and achievement.  The last scheduled days of the 2025 – 2026 Junior Goldfins Program will be held June 28, 2026.

 

Early registration for the 2026 – 2027 season opens on July 7, 2026 – 7:00 AM, offering returning members a head start in securing their slice of the action.  Members will receive an email with an early registration code for early access.
