February 13, 2026

PHOENIX, AZ—The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club has landed in the sun-soaked city of Phoenix, Arizona, ready to showcase their talents at the 2026 Phoenix Winter Invitational. From February 13th to 16th, eighteen dedicated Goldfins swimmers will compete in 144 individual events, seizing the opportunity to refine their skills during the scholastic winter break.

A Unique Training Experience

The Goldfins' participation in this event is not merely a competitive endeavor but an integral part of their senior swimmer training camp. As Head Coach Steven Hitchings expressed, “As part of the senior swimmer training camp experience, the Goldfins in Phoenix will be racing in the Phoenix Swim Club Winter Invitational. The meet is in a yards pool, placing a high emphasis on turns, both underwater kick and maintaining speed into the walls. The swim meet will be a great challenge as the swimmers learn to race outdoors, in a short pool, and against new competition.”
