Goldfins Swim Meet Preview - Lasers SC Invitational
The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club is set to participate in the Lasers Short Course Swim Meet at the Shaw Centre in Saskatoon, SK, on Sunday, November 24, 2024. This event will offer Goldfins swimmers the chance to compete at their "home" venue in two timed finals sessions. The Club eagerly anticipates the opportunity for our senior swimmers to race alongside our youngest competitive Goldfins swimmers.
“This event allows our Goldfins swimmers to refine their competitive skills and test their techniques and racing strategies before heading to the December championship swim meets,” stated Jennifer Robinson, Head Development Coach.
“The Goldfins Swim Club is preparing for the December championship meets, marking the conclusion of the first phase of our competitive season. Goldfins swimmers will travel to Regina (RODS Winter Solstice – November 29 & December 1, 2024), Winnipeg, MB (Prairie Winter International – December 5 – 8, 2024), and Edmonton, AB (J.P. Fiset – December 12 – 15, 2024). The Goldfins coaching staff looks forward to witnessing the Goldfins Team ride the Blue Wave into December 2024.
The schedule for the meet is as follows:
Session 1 – Goldfins Swimmer’s Arrival: 7:30 AM & Competition: 9:10 AM
Events: 200M Freestyle, 400M Freestyle, 100M Backstroke, 50M Fly, 100M Breaststroke, 100M Freestyle
Session 2 – Goldfins Swimmer’s Arrival: 2:10 PM & Competition: 3:40 PM
Events: 100M Individual Medley, 200M Individual Medley, 400M Individual Medley, 50M Backstroke, 100M Fly, 50M Breaststroke, 50M Freestyle
