Goldfins Swim Club Triumphs at 2026 Summer Man/SK Championships

Record-Breaking Performances Define Saskatoon Event
The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club made a remarkable impact at the 2026 Summer Man/SK Championships, held from July 9 to 12 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The club demonstrated exceptional prowess, amassing a commanding 4,670 points to earn the coveted Overall Top Points Large Club Award. This victory highlights the club's dedication to excellence and its role as a leading force in competitive swimming within the province.

Young Talent Shatters Long-Standing Records
The event was punctuated by standout performances from the club’s promising young athletes. Brette White, a rising star in the Girls 10 & Under category, set a new provincial record in the 50M Backstroke with a time of 37.25 seconds, breaking a record that had stood since June 1997. Her achievement also set a new Goldfins Club record, showcasing the club's commitment to nurturing exceptional talent.
Team Efforts Lead to Relay Success
Teamwork and collaboration were key themes throughout the championships. The Goldfins achieved new club records in relay events, with the Female 11-12 200 Medley Relay team—comprising Zoe Gursky, Binh An Nguyen, Ella Reiter, and Miller Gotto—setting a new record of 2:13.59. Meanwhile, the Female 15 & Over 200M Freestyle Relay team, including Isabel Magus, Sami Benning, Claire Huber, and Victoria Darling, also shattered previous records with an impressive time of 1:50.83.
Individual Excellence Shines Through
Celebrations were in full swing as Miller Gotto was recognized as the Saskatchewan Girls 12 & Under High Point Award winner, amassing an impressive total of 225 individual points. Keiran Dyck also celebrated his achievements, securing both the Boys 16 & Over Saskatchewan High Point Award and the Boys 16 & Over Overall Individual Top Point Awards. Furthermore, Jayden Bilous received the esteemed Betty Lou Dean Award for achieving the highest World Aquatic Point performance in the 50M Breaststroke, clocking in at 29.22 seconds for a remarkable 700 points.

Goldfins swimmers made a strong showing at the Team Sask Provincial Relays. A big congratulations to the following Goldfins members who were selected for the Provincial Relay Teams: Zoe Gursky, Binh An Nguyen, Ella Reiter, Miller Gotto, Oliver Wruck, Claire Huber, Isabel Magus, Sami Benning, James DeLathouwer and Jayden Bilous.
Team Sask clinched a GOLD MEDAL in the 200M Medley Relay events in the Girls 12 & Under age group category. Kudos to all the Saskatchewan swimmers for their outstanding performance.
