Goldfins Race to Victory at Saskatchewan Junior Provincial Championships

Impressive Team Performance Earns Goldfins Top Honor
The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club made waves at the Saskatchewan Junior Provincial Championships held in Moose Jaw, SK, from February 27 to March 1, 2026. With an outstanding 1454 total team points, the Goldfins secured the 2026 Swim Saskatchewan Junior Short Course Provincial Championships Large Club Award, showcasing their dedication and skill in the pool.
New Talent Joins Senior Provincial Ranks
In a remarkable display of talent and determination, the Goldfins proudly announced the addition of three new members to their Senior Provincial Team. Naomi Wall, Ivy Kellett, and Nicole Lam qualified to compete in the upcoming Man/SK Senior Provincial Championships. Naomi's achievement of a Swim Saskatchewan AA Time Standard in the 100M Freestyle, along with Ivy and Nicole's impressive qualifying times, exemplifies the club's nurturing of emerging talent.

Coach Ted Murphy Reflects on a Thrilling Competition
Goldfins Coach Ted Murphy expressed his pride in the team's performance: “The GOLDFINS continued their strong swimming in Moose Jaw. It was fantastic to see the next generation of Goldfins cheering and racing. With the new rule that swimmers advance to Man/Sask, it made the competition even better as each race had a potential new qualifier. Overall, Goldfins swimmers were dropping times and racing hard. It was an exciting swim meet.”
