Goldfins Excel at Western Transmountain Festival III
Calgary, AB – February 21 & 22, 2025
The Goldfins Swim Club demonstrated an impressive performance at the 2025 Western Transmountain Festival III this past weekend in Calgary. A special congratulations goes to Landon Dubiel, who secured third place in the 400M Individual Medley with a time of 5:17.71.
Stellar Performances Across the Board
Goldfins swimmers showcased their skills in over 200 individual events during the two-day long course swim meet. Remarkably, several swimmers achieved 100% personal best times, including Fares Alkhatib, Victoria Darling, Noah Findlay, Ava Gursky, Emmy Hoffmann, Sophia Klawitter, Lan Nguyen, and Carson Sereda-Wosminity.
Top 3 Most Improved Events
- Landon Dubiel - 800M Freestyle: 9:58.15, 12.6% improvement, shaving off 86.27 seconds
- Carson Sereda-Wosminity - 50M Fly: 28.51, 12.4% improvement, cutting 4.04 seconds
- Kian Wu - 50M Breaststroke: 32.30, 12.0% improvement, reducing time by 4.42 seconds
Goldfins swimmers also achieved 53 new provincial long course time standards, marking significant accomplishments.
