February's Finest: Celebrating Saskatoon Goldfins' Standout Swimmers

March 12, 2026

The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club is proud to announce the Swimmers of the Month program for 2026, celebrating athletes who show exceptional commitment, enthusiasm, and resilience. Each month, swimmers who embody these traits will be recognized. Excellence in swimming is not just about speed or wins but also perseverance, positivity, and team inspiration.

Swimmers of the Month are chosen for their pool performance, sportsmanship, leadership, and team spirit. They serve as role models, demonstrating that success in swimming combines skill, mindset, and teamwork.

This program highlights diverse talents and strengths, fostering a supportive community. It reflects the club's dedication to nurturing each swimmer's potential, valuing their journey as much as their achievements.

February 2026

Dejan Jarcan (B3) - Dejan Jarcan is the male Swimmer of the Month for February. Dejan has a quiet demeanor and goes about his work without drawing much attention to himself, but he is a consistently reliable presence at practice. He shows up prepared, stays focused, and puts in solid effort day after day.

Over the past month, Dejan has continued to look strong in the water and has made steady progress in both his skills and endurance. He listens to feedback and works to apply it, and his ability to maintain technique as the work gets harder has improved. These are good signs that his training is heading in the right direction.

Dejan’s consistency and approach to practice are appreciated, and it’s been good to see his development continue. Congratulations to Dejan on being named Swimmer of the Month for February, and best of luck at ManSask

Abigail Takagi (W2) - Congratulations to Abigail for being selected as W2 swimmer of the month!

She has been a positive presence in the group since the start of the season, stepping up to act as a lane leader and helping some of the other swimmers learn and understand pace times. I can always expect a great effort at practice and at swim meets, her improvement and growth throughout the season has been rewarding to see. Congratulations again!
