Craven SPORT Services Racing Series #3 - Goldfins Post Meet Report
The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club proudly hosted the 2025 Craven SPORT Services Racing Series #3 on Saturday, February 1, 2025. This exciting event featured dual competitions: the Age Group and Masters meets, offering a comprehensive platform for swimmers of various experience levels to showcase their skills.
Age Group Meet Highlights
The Age Group meet was a bustling affair, featuring nine individual events and over 400 races. A total of 156 swimmers from six Saskatchewan swim teams participated, bringing energy and competitive spirit to the pool. The Goldfins Swim Club made a significant impact, with 57 of its swimmers achieving 116 personal best times. Impressively, 19 Goldfins achieved 100% personal best times. These standout swimmers include:

Most Improved Events
The Goldfins swimmers showed remarkable improvement, particularly in these top three events:
- Stella Moore - 200M Freestyle: 20.9% improvement, reducing her time by 67 seconds.
- Leo Genest - 50M Breaststroke: 18.2% improvement, shaving 12.25 seconds off.
- Peyton Mol - 50M Breaststroke: 17.9% improvement, with a time reduction of 12.79 seconds.
Achievements and Future Competitions
A special mention goes to Zeyah Flemming, who achieved her first Saskatchewan Junior Provincial Short Course Qualifying Time Standard in the 200M Backstroke with a time of 3:28.17. She is set to compete at the 2025 Saskatchewan Junior Provincial Championships, scheduled for February 28 - March 2, in Moose Jaw, SK.

The Craven SPORT Services are commended for their generous support of this racing series, which plays a crucial role in developing Saskatchewan swimmers by exposing them to progressively challenging events. They also provided door prizes to three lucky swimmers: Abigail Birkham from the Meadow Lake Manta Rays Swim Club, Rhett Ruzesky from the Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club, and Doug Blakely from the Regina Masters Swim Club.
The Goldfins Swim Club extends its gratitude to Lana Niro and her Little Caesars team for sponsoring the hospitality luncheon, which was greatly appreciated by our swim officials, volunteers, and coaches after a long day of racing.
