Craven SPORT Services Racing Series #3: Goldfins Post Meet Report

The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club had the honor of hosting the 2026 Craven SPORT Services Racing Series #3 on Saturday, March 7, 2026. This thrilling event presented dual competitions, the Age Group and Masters swim meets, offering a robust platform for swimmers of all skill levels to demonstrate their abilities.
Age Group Meet Highlights
The Age Group meet was a vibrant spectacle with ten individual events and over 384 races. An impressive 148 swimmers from six Saskatchewan teams participated, infusing the pool with energy and competitive drive. The Goldfins Swim Club distinguished itself with 80 swimmers achieving 148 personal best times. Notably, 25 Goldfins swimmers attained 100% personal bests, including: Ethan Andre, Allison Berscheid, Isabel Burkholder, Ellie Chasse Wolfson, Tessa Diaz Donovan, Wallis Fisher-Katz, Emerson Flockhart, Mehak Garg, David Goncharov, Everly Haver, Olive Horner-Uhyn, Ariah Kent-Rodgman, Ha Le, Kyle MacGillivray, Viet Tri Nguyen, Zoey Painchaud, Rhett Ruzesky, Lyla Shiplack, Jenny Sun, Lucas Tse, Tyler Tse, Isaac Xie, Yolanda Xu, Hannah Yonkman and Benjamin Zhou.These achievements reflect the dedication and hard work of each athlete.

This season, the Goldfins proudly honor swimmers who set new records at swim meets, whenever available. During the Craven SPORT Services Racing Series #3, the following Goldfins swimmers set new records and swam below the Saskatchewan Racing Series records.

Most Improved Events
The Goldfins highlighted the Top 3 Most Improved events, showcasing remarkable progress:
Hudson St. Amant: 200 Backstroke – 24.7% Improvement (“-60.63”)
Kyle MacGillivray: 200 Freestyle – 23.7% Improvement (“-57.05”)
Rosalie Madziar: 50 Freestyle – 18.9% Improvement (“-11.66”)

Achievements and Future Competitions
Special recognition goes to Allie Berscheid for achieving her first Saskatchewan Junior Provincial Short Course Qualifying Time in the 200M Individual Medley with a time of 3:14.19, and to Ben Zhou for his first Junior Provincial time standards in the 50M Backstroke (35.28) and 50M Freestyle (29.97). These athletes are set to compete at the 2026 Saskatchewan Junior Provincial Championships from June 12-14, 2026, in Saskatoon, SK.
