2026 Michelle Moore Recap - Celebrating the Victories of Saskatoon Goldfins' Rising Stars

Regina, SK—May 8–10, 2026
The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club made a splash at the 14th Annual Michelle Moore Swim Meet, hosted in Regina, SK, from May 8 to May 10, 2026. With a squad of 47 dedicated swimmers, the Goldfins achieved an impressive 161 long course personal best times. Notably, a group of exceptional swimmers—Addie Bartlett, McKinley Bowman, Wallis Fisher-Katz, Miller Gotto, Liam Korsak, Binh An Nguyen, and Chasen Weber—attained 100% personal best times, showcasing their dedication and prowess.

Goldfins' Top Performers and Rising Stars
Among the standout performances, Liam Korsak emerged as the most improved swimmer in several long course events. His remarkable improvements were recorded in the 50 Freestyle (28.1% improvement, -12.05 seconds), 100 Freestyle (27.5% improvement, -28.75 seconds), and 50 Backstroke (27.4% improvement, -14.16 seconds). These achievements earned Liam his first Junior and Senior Provincial Qualifying Time Standards, securing his participation in the upcoming 2026 Provincial Championships. Joining him will be Lucy Yang, who also became a member of the Goldfins Senior Provincial Team, set to compete in the 2026 Man/SK Long Course Championships in July.

Medal Glory for the Goldfins
The Goldfins swimmers returned home with a remarkable haul of 59 individual medals. The gold medalists included Miller Gotto, Harper Bear, Abigail Gauld, Aiden Sereda-Wosminity, Sofia Baron, Sienna Weber, Chasen Weber, Dakota Wigness, Mariah Weber, Ethan Zbytovsky, and Farrah Aitken. Silver medalists were Dakota Wigness, Miller Gotto, Sidney Goodwin, Will Sothilingam, Farrah Aitken, Chasen Weber, Harper Bear, Aiden Sereda-Wosminity, Adelaide Bartlett, Sofia Baron, Mariah Weber, Brette White, Heimarie Strydom, Aliyah Aubut, and Jacey Lutze. Bronze medalists included Aliyah Aubut, Ethan Zbytovsky, Dakota Wigness, Mariah Weber, Zeyah Flemming, Will Sothilingam, Sofia Baron, Liam Korsak, Gillian Grayston, Emery Bernier, Emmy Hoffmann, Anton Magsuci, and Zoe Gursky.

The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club extends its gratitude to the Regina Optimist Dolphins Swim Club for their hospitality and to the Goldfins parents who volunteered as officials throughout the weekend.
