2026 Goldfins Pentathlon Swim Meet: A Showcase of Talent and Determination

February 13, 2026

The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club made waves at the 2026 Pentathlon Swim Meet, held this past weekend, marking a milestone of achievements and a celebration of talent. The event, which saw swimmers vie for High Point Awards across five competitive events, was a testament to the club's dedication to nurturing exceptional athletes.

For many participants, this meet represented their first long course competition, an experience both exhilarating and challenging. The atmosphere was electric, with teammates enthusiastically cheering on their friends and celebrating every victory, including the much-anticipated bell heat winners who took home coveted prizes.

A highlight of the meet was the announcement of three outstanding Goldfins athletes — Zeyah Flemming, Danny Wang, and Brette White — who will join the 2026 Goldfins Senior Provincial team. These swimmers have not only achieved the necessary qualifying time standards but have also demonstrated remarkable skill and potential. They will proudly represent the Goldfins at the 2026 Man/SK Short Course Senior Provincial Championships in Winnipeg, MB, from March 19-22, 2026.

Zeyah Flemming's performance was nothing short of spectacular, as she posted personal bests in every event and met Swim Saskatchewan's qualifying standards in the 50M Freestyle, 50M Backstroke, and 200M Freestyle. Danny Wang, with his impressive time in the 50M Freestyle, and Brette White, who excelled in both the 50M Freestyle and 50M Backstroke, further showcased the depth of talent within the club.

The club's 96 swimmers collectively achieved 354 personal best long course times, underscoring the intense preparation and commitment of each athlete.
